1. After reviewing the guide, read the Introduction, pp. 1-2.
- What do you think learners need to know about the economic impact of the GED?
- Why might you want to teach learners about the economic impact of the GED?
2. Then look more closely at one of the lessons:
- Review Unit 3, Lesson 2: The Research.
- Read the handout What the Research Says and answer the questions at the end of each section.
- Reflect on the following questions:
- What were the key findings?
- Were the findings surprising? If yes, why? If no, why not?
- Does it make you think differently about preparing learners for the GED?
